Until early 2010 he worked for NASA at John C. Stennis Space Center, MS. He provided Supplier Quality Auditing (Safety) services for NASA Contract Assurance Services (NCAS). He monitored the safety of contractors building the new A-3 Test Stand to support testing of the J2-X engine for the Ares rockets, along with the future work for the Ares V and lunar lander. Ares V was a heavy lift rocket for lunar missions, part of the Constellation program.

He has been a safety supervisor for a company performing maintenance and modification at an Exelon Nuclear Power plant refueling outage. His position ended the beginning of November 2012.

Prior to that he was a Site Safety and Health Officer for Honeywell ATFP (Anti-Terrorism Force Protection) (SQA Services, Inc.), US Naval Station, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba during installation of security cameras on 30 foot towers along the perimeter fence line.

During 2010 and 2011, He was employed first at Jay Dee Contractors (through Aerotek) on a US Army Corps of Engineers managed job, which followed US Army Corps of Engineers Health and Safety Requirements Manual EM 385-1-1. He was the Site Safety & Health Officer on the McCook Emergency Repair Project on Chicago’s Deep Tunnel. After that he worked for the OSHA Training Institute as a Safety and Occupational Health Specialist for the Division of Training and Educational Development, where I helped develop Construction Safety Courses.

He has been a Health & Safety Officer for Envirocon, Inc., in West Chicago, IL. Envirocon is a hazardous waste remediation construction company cleaning up radioactive waste and restoring property for Kerr McGee at various EPA Superfund (CERCLA) sites throughout West Chicago. The first year he held this position we succeeded in reducing our injury rate to only 2.7 as compared to 23.3 the year before he started.

During his stay, he provided training for Caltrans Project and District personnel in Fall Protection, Scaffold User Training. Lead Training, Personal Protective Equipment, and Hazard Communications, as well as other safety topics. He also conducted six different sessions of the OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety Training program for project personnel and Caltrans Toll Bridge Construction Safety Engineers and other field and management personnel.

In a previous position he was the Safety Professional administering the Safety Program for a tunneling contractor that built (mined) over 6 miles of Chicago's Deep Tunnel. During his second year at that project we were able to reduce the total amount of money per manhour spent for workers compensation and general liability claims by 87.9%.
