A PhD from Reading University (UK), Dr.Ing. and MSc in Electronic Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, eMBA in ICT System Management (SDA-Bocconi) and Software Engineering (IBM-IFDA) plus additional qualifications in several domains spanning from Forensics to Psychology.
Over 30 years of experience in project management and software & systems engineering gained in the industrial domain as well as over 10 years of parallel experience in academia.
Italian mother tongue, he has an excellent mastering of English, French and Spanish. He is Director of a consultancy firm as well as of an Academy as well as freelance Professor and Project Manager for several universities in Great Britain, India, Argentina, Belarus, Lithuania, Cina and Kazakhstan, and has been working since 1984, dealing with automation, ICT, software development, security and quality assurance with a track record of over 100 projects completion (for over 300 million Euro), 12 projects rescued (for over 30 million Euro), and over 62 million Euro of acquired ones.
PMP certified Chartered Manager and Engineer, Fellow of the RSA, Senior Member of IEEE and ACM, is also a member of the Computer Society, Communication Society, IEEE-TCECS, IEEE-TCSE, IEEE-SA, PMI, US Digital Society, NEM European Industrial Initiative, NESSI – Networked European Software and Services Initiative, STAR – Socio-Economic Trends Assessment for the Digital Revolution experts group, CEN-ISSS – WS-LT Learning Technology workgroup, APLR Accessibility Properties for Learning Resources.
He often acts as an adviser for the European Commission for which he acts also as project expert evaluator and reviewer. He is also an evaluator for a dozen funding agencies.
During his professional career, he has been working intensively in the automation and security environment both in terms of physical and logical security. He has also developed a specific passwords and texts encryption mechanism used in banks and the military domain.
He has (co)authored several scientific articles, position papers, tutorials, case studies, a book, a chapter and the market analysis adopted as starting point of the EC Special Task Force for Multimedia and Education. He edited the AMME Project Book.

For Moulinex Italy SpA, Expert has been commissioned the design of the goods management automation & integration with IT system (using bar-code-readers & RFIDs).

For HP Italy SpA, Expert has been commissioned the analysis and development of network performances monitoring and measuring infrastructure (such work was them used for the his MSc graduation thesis but could non be published due to a 10 years non disclosure agreement requested by HP).For a debt collection company, Expert has been asked to provide analysis and development of debtors’ folders management program (requirement analysis, application design implementation, deployment & training).For a private bank, Expert has been asked to provide analysis and development of a historical stock exchange data management program (requirement analysis, application design implementation, deployment & training).
