Vibro-Acoustic Modeling and Noise Control of Mechanical and Biomechanical Systems

ID: 728556 Canada

Request Expert

Expert focuses on vibro-acoustic modeling and noise control of mechanical and biomechanical systems. He has significant experience in the field of acoustics, noise and vibration including industrial fan noise, automotive NVH, medical equipment acoustic noise, acoustic materials, and sound absorber design.

He is skillful in frequency response analysis, modal analysis, structural-acoustic coupling analysis, systematic transfer path analysis, and computational modeling (FEM and BEM) for acoustic noise and vibration problems. He can use these techniques to identify noise sources and develop noise attenuation measures for mechanical and biomechanical systems. He is experienced in sound and vibration measurement, as well as data and signal analysis. He has designed innovative sound absorbers for noise control.

He uses systematic methods to solve acoustic noise and vibration problems. This includes a combination of theoretical analysis, computational modeling, experimental measurement and design for quietness. Using these methods, he has successfully solved various automotive NVH problems, fan noise problems, MRI scanner acoustic noise problems, etc. He is able to use these skills to solve problems in other mechanical and biomechanical systems.
