Expert received his M.D. degree is Israel in 1993 and completed his resident training in psychiatry at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York in 1996. He also completed additional resident training in neurology in 1997 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is board certified in neurology and psychiatry, with a special focus on neuropsychiatry disorders. His career experiences include working as a psychiatrist as well as a neurologist for the past ten years at two different hospitals. He is currently affiliated with two hospitals in New York as attending Neurologist and Psychiatrist.

He is highly trained to treat disorders of the nervous system, which include diseases of the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles.
