This involves: customer-needs analysis; product design for function, conventional machining, manufacturability, testing and durability, part-making and assembly techniques; field testing and evaluation, and customer satisfaction assurance.

JOB SHOP OPERATIONS. Cy has many years of experience making small quantities of products. In some cases, the product was one-of-a-kind. He also has expertise in both high-volume and job-shop production of machined components.

TOOLHOLDERS. Cy is currently involved in the design, manufacture, and application of rotary and stationary tool and work holders for metal cutting, including floating reamer holders and drivers for tapping.

TOOLING SPECIFICATIONS. Cy writes and critiques American and international tooling specifications, namely ANSI, ASME, ISO, DIN, and MAS.
