Expert has strong theoretical knowledge in area of electrical breakdown and discharges in gases at low and atmospheric pressures. For example, he analyzed non-equilibrium "cold" plasma technologies related to plasma-chemical modification of molecular gases as well as treatment of effluent gases.

Expert developed models for condensing and boiling streams of cryogenic fluids, and led development of two-phase turbo-expander design computational tools. He modeled inlet flow evaporative cooling for air separation plants located in areas with hot and Expert climate.
