Expert is a pediatric cardiologist at a large metropolitan pediatric institution for over 40 years. He has served as medical director of pediatric cardiac catheterization laboratory for a number of years until 2006. He has undertaken thousands of diagnostic and interventional catheterizations. He currently rotates as a reader of pediatric echocardiograms. His current interests include long-term follow-up of patients who recovered from Kawasaki disease with coronary artery sequelae, and transitioning pediatric cardiac patients into adult cardiac centers. He is currently a Co-Director of Adult Congenital Heart Program at University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. Expert served on American Heart Association Committee on Rheumatic Fever, Endocarditis and Kawasaki Disease, and collaborated with writing of a number of practice guidelines on Kawasaki disease, rheumatic fever and infective endocarditis.

BACTERIAL ENDOCARDITIS: Expert has served on American Heart Association Committee to write guidelines on diagnosis, treatment and prevention of bacterial endocardits. He has also personally treated at least 50 cases of endocarditis.

CARDIAC TAMPONADE: As a former invasive cardiologist, he is keenly familiar with sign, symptoms and pathophysiology of acute and chronic cardiac tamponade. He has testified on two occasions as an expert witness on this subject.

CARDIAC VALVE DISEASE/VALVAR HEART DISEASE: As pediatric cardiologist he has treated numerous patients with congenital and acquired diseases of heart valves.

CARDIOMEGALY: He has screened many patients referred for cardiomegaly, and know pitfall and nuances of this clinical findings.

CARDIOMYOPATHIES: He has personally diagnosed and managed various types of cardiomyopathies in his practice.

ECHO-PLANAR IMAGING: He is exposed daily with echocardiograms of patients with simple and complex cardiac diseases.

VENTRICLE OUTFLOW OBSTRUCTION: In his practice he has diagnosed and managed many patients with obstructions of right or left ventricles.

VENTRICULAR DYSFUNCTION: He is familiar with the various ways heart function can deteriorate and can find optimal therapies to mitigate or reverse these problems.
