Expert is an Independent Consultant, with over 30 years of experience in the European Building, Construction and Real Estate Industry, and is frequently involved in commercial due diligence projects. Expert's Market Intelligence firm has fulfilled hundreds of challenging projects for private equities, investors, corporates and the larger consultancy firms.

Expert previously worked for ArcelorMittal Construction Europe, an integrated steelmaker, as divisional Chief Marketing Officer. His responsibilities covered Digital Marketing, Pricing Strategy, Market Development, Sales, Innovation, R&D, IP and Product Development. Here, he joined common interests and projects with other European divisions such as Long Products, Tubular, Distribution Services, Steel Plates, and Automotive, and benchmarked their businesses externally and internally. He is familiar with the steel value chain from mining and manufacturing to engineered value propositions distributed by downstream business operations. Furthermore, Expert has a good understanding of the steel sector, trends, competitive dynamics, competitive landscape, key players, opportunities and threats, and the overall outlook of the industry.

Prior to his time at ArcelorMittal, Expert worked for Kingspan, a company recognized as the Technology Leader in the Building, Construction and Real Estate Sectors globally. Here, he acted as an entrepreneur within this diversified multinational organization for over 10 years as the Managing Director for Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg, as well as the European Market Development Director. He positioned Kingspan as a pioneer and innovative frontrunner of green building materials and transformed them into an integrated supplier of sustainable, energy-efficient building solutions. Expert took ownership for profitability (P&L), Sales, Marketing, Innovation, R&D, IP, Product Development, Public Affairs, Cross-Sector Alliances and Value Chain Stakeholder Engagement. Due to the growth ambition of Kingspan, he participated in a number of due diligence opportunities to reflect the commercial synergies of differentiated positioning strategies and multi-branding implementation.

Additionally, Expert has experience at IKO Group, a family-owned, global manufacturer of residential shingles, commercial roofing, waterproofing products, coatings, insulation systems and accessories. He joined IKO as the Sales Manager for Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg, and worked his way up to Commercial Director for the Netherlands after acquiring Ruberoid Plc and their affiliated companies (Nebiprofa, Bitasco, Asphaltco, Aquaplan). Here, he was responsible for representing a high penetration level of revenues on the Dutch market. IKO established a diversified portfolio, started their Enertherm insulation manufacturing sector and developed an extensive distribution network among the professional distributors, building merchants, DIY chains and IKO Roofmart subsidiaries.
