He has provided expert consultation in lawsuits, and has prepared written reports of his expert opinion, has been deposed, and has testified in court. He is a skilled technical writer and is very capable the art of presenting explanations of complex phenomena to laymen.

For the State of Hawaii the Expert carried out failure analysis on a heavily corroded steel structure. He prepared an extensive expert opinion document, participated in an ADH, was deposed, and testified in trial.For the National Forest Service he carried out an investigation of the cause of heavy corrosion on a forest logging road bridge, and presented a written report.For a California grape grower the Expert carried out a failure analysis of fractured steel grape stakes. He prepared a report giving his expert opinion, and was deposed. The case was settled before trial.For the American Iron and Steel Institute the Expert investigated the cause of excessive corrosion of a series of highway bridges.For the Rhode Island DOT the Expert investigated the suitability of various bridge sites for bare weathering steel construction and presented a written report.

Responsibilities:
The Expert carried out testing, analysis, writing, and customer presentations of literature and testing studies of metallic and nonmetallic materials.
