In the ICU, she was very involved in vendor selection for all new products as well as being a member of the "Value Analysis committee." During her tenure in the ICU, they buit and moved into a new facility requiring the purchase of many new products and training staff on the move process, new equipment and safe transferof patients from one facility to the next.

She was charged with the cost analysis on all new products and was authorized to challenge products that appeared to lack quality. She conducted staff opinion during clinical trials of all new products.

Many years of ICU experience dealing with the "Sickest of the sick within the hospital;" she was involved from the grass roots on the design of the new hospital (most specifically the critical care center; she scheduled all inservices and training for all new equipment assuring adequate clinical education for all staff; she was the director of the in-patient move of over 200 patients to a new facility which occurred during a nurses' labor strike; she maintained a budget neutral operation with cost justifdications based on need: she approved all overtime related to staffing changes or needs for additional staff during periods of high census and acuity.
