Expert has 30 years of experience in dealing with all aspects of pump, pump drive, and pump seal technology. He is extensively involved in the design, engineering, manufacturing, installation, and operation of the full range of centrifugal pumps to a wide spectrum of processes and systems. He has directed the conceptual designs of new fluid systems and their components, and has provided diagnostic evaluations of deficient hardware.

Using vibration diagnostic data to complement other hydraulic and mechanical parameters, Expert has applied an overall synergistic approach to fluid system design and component specification, allowing him to meet required objectives. He is also familiar with the vibration monitoring tools necessary for such an effort.

Expert has taken the lead in optimizing system and pump construction in slurry systems. Based on extensive prior experience in fluid systems, he has directed the design and application of existing and new technology in systems handling "harsh" fluids.

Expert has an in-depth base of experience and knowledge in materials and their properties. He has access to other industry sources of experience in ferrous, non-ferrous, and non-metallic base materials and coatings.

Expert has established design, engineering, and test criteria for the avoidance and tolerance of system upsets as they affect systems and their components.

He provides an overall and integrated assessment of system and component design on a cost reliability and efficiency basis.

Expert is proficient with operation and maintenance (O&M) procedures and recommendations, imperative to design and construction, that affect reliability and overall lifecycle costs. These O&M procedures, guidelines, and recommendations are based upon extensive field experience and hands-on direction.

A key element in the troubleshooting fluid systems is the determination of the occurrence, degree, and/or frequency of cavitation within fluids. Expert's past experiences with test results and empirical data on noise, vibration, and damage generated by cavitation have been applied to troubleshooting problems.

Expert has 45 years of experience in power plant design and operation. With first-hand experience of fossil, nuclear, and a few renewable technologies, his detailed knowledge of fluid systems, from very small to the largest in operation today, provides technical linkage that is vital to reliable performance.

Expert is well-versed in the diagnostics of fluid flow. Using empirical data and established flow parameters, he has acquired insight into predictive flow and performance problems. He also has directed test programs to directly and indirectly monitor system and pump performance.
