CERAMIC. Expert has his MS degree in ceramic engineering, and has 25 years of professional experience in electrical ceramics.
CERAMIC POWDER PROCESSING. Expert has extensive experience in ball milling of ceramic powders, tape casting ceramic tape, mixing and milling of ceramic slurries, dry pressing ceramic resonators (4mm through 12mm), and thick film coating of ceramic resonators.
CERAMIC SLIP CASTING; CERAMIC SLIP PREPARATION; CERAMIC THIN FILM. Expert is well-versed in the formulations of ceramic slurries, ball milling to mix and reduce particle size, and slip casting on plastic film and stainless steel belts, with thicknesses from 0.5 mils to 2.8 mils.
FIXED CAPACITOR. Expert has worked with ceramic fixed capacitors, and has designed ceramic capacitors.
SCREEN PRINTING. Expert is proficient in screen printing precious metal electrodes Pt/Pd/Ag, stainless steel screens (up to 400 mesh), and drying printed layers.
CERAMIC SINTERING. Expert has worked with periodic and tunnel kilns, kiln controls, cones, shrinkage disks, firing samples, and temperature profiling kilns.
CERAMICS DRYING. Expert is adept in the drying of ceramic powders, binder burn-out of ceramic shapes, oven controls, and process controls.
ELECTRICAL CERAMICS. Expert's expertise includes ceramic capacitor and resonator manufacturing, applications, and failure analysis.
CERAMIC CAPACITOR RELIABILITY. Expert is proficient in the reliability of ceramic capacitors, reliability testing, and failure analysis.
ISOSTATIC PRESSING AND LAMINATION; CERAMIC LAMINATING. Expert is adept at laminating ceramic tapes and bars (from 3,000 to 5,000 psi with heat), and at making stacked sheet into monolithic components.
