Expert has worked for multinational industrial mineral companies, doing research on mineralogy, processing of minerals, and evaluation of industrial mineral deposits. He had a special focus on high purity quartz & cristobalite resulting in several quartz mining projects being developed by the companies he has worked for.

Expert is a trained evaluator of rough diamonds. He worked as a consultant and a mine manager for diamond mining projects, resulting in the start up of 2 diamond mining projects in Africa. As such he gained special expertise with training of local personnel in developing countries. His consultancy projects generally resulted in lowering of exploitation costs by increasing efficiency or applying previously untried methods.

Expert is trained as a structural geologist. Throughout his career he completed geological mapping projects in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. For this field work he used classical field work methods as well as geophysical methods, remote sensing and geochemical techniques.
