Expert is currently self-employed as a real estate agent. He is also co-founder of a technology company that provides a SAAS platform for job description management. Prior to founding this, he was principal at a small boutique government contracting consulting firm based out of SC. He divested his ownership interest in 2022.

Before becoming an entrepreneur, Josh was employed at Rave Wireless, holding the title of Account Executive from August 2019 to November 2020, where he helped deliver Rave's emergency notification technology to large corporate campuses and facilities across the US. Before employment at Rave, Josh spent over ten years in the HR and human capital management technology space as an account executive and director of sales.

Most recently, he was employed at MassPay HR & Payroll Solutions from March 2018, holding the title of Director of Sales-South. Previously, Expert held the position of Sales Representative- Major Markets while working at Paychex, Inc. Expert had this role for 21 months (June 2016 - March 2018). Before this, Expert held the position of Sales Representative-SMB while working at Paychex, Inc. Expert occupied this position for four years (May 2012 - June 2016). Previously, Expert held the position of Banker 1 & 2 while working at Citizens Bank. Expert held this role for 19 months (November 2010 - June 2012). Before this, Expert held the position of Product Marketing Intern while working at Carousel Industries of North America, Inc. Expert occupied this position for two months (March 2010 - May 2010). Expert completed a B.S. in Marketing/Management from Rhode Island College in 2010.
