Request Expert

Expert is board certified in internal medicine and in pediatrics. He completed his residency at Albany Medical Center Hospital in internal medicine and pediatrics in 1989 and currently works as a physician of internal medicine and pediatrics at several hospitals in his region. His appointments also include Chief of Healthcare Informatics, Chief of Internal Medicine, Vice-Chair of the Medical Executive Committee, Medical Advisor, and Chief of Service.

As Chief of Internal Medicine, he supervises medical staff at the four medical centers and all affiliated offices. He develops medical policy as well as the clinical practice guidelines. He determines staffing requirements for each center and reviews performance and utilization reports.

As Chief of Healthcare Informatics for the clinic, he helps to identify the clinical data requirements of the departments. He chairs the physicians informatics committee and acts as the clinical representative to information technology. He identifies applications that may help physicians assimilate information technology into their daily practice.

Besides his work as a physician, Expert’s is knowledgeable in the technological and informatics aspect of a hospital. He has helped identify the clinical data requirements of the iinformayics department at his affiliated hospital, helped identify applications that may help physicians assimilate information technology into their daily practice, reviewed medical policy for all departments, reviewed annual, quarterly, and special reports from various departments and initiate programs to improve the quality of medical care. He has also developed quality and utilization programs with the administrative and nurse leaders as a medical team leader and has been involved in the process of approving medical policies.
