| He is Technical Expert at the Portuguese Institute of Quality since Nov 2007, for the area of Optics, Optical Comunications and Radiometry, auditing the atribution of CE and Quality certification in calibration and measurement services. He was the appointed expert for 6 audits since 2008. |

| He delivered 6 training courses in the area of laser safety for specialized workers and engineers. One of the courses was dedicated to laser safety in fiber optical comunications, delivered to a group of 10 people of Siemens Portugal. He is delivering seminars and courses for the past 15 years in the area of Ocular Optics for professional clients. |

| Almost 50% of research effort is the result of contracts with industry (recently for defense and aerospace companies) and also automotive industry (laser processing).
