Request Expert

Expert has worked in both geological survey and structural geological studies for international stone companies, governmental institutions, and private enterprises. Since 1991 he has been involved in research and exploitation of dimension stone deposits (marble, granite and the like) including technical-commercial characterization and marketing studies.

His worldwide experience encompasses all sort of stones for construction and ornamental purposes (marble, sandstone, slate, clay, granite and other sedimentary and intrusive/ effusive rock) attending to all the various steps of production, from the prospecting of virgin area, core drilling campaign, opening of small trial fronts and quarry exploitation up to the stone processing of finished and/or semi-finished items.

His expertise is based upon a strong respect for the environment in an integrated vision of technical, economic and social issues, aimed at identifying possibilities for the development of people in a responsible management of natural resources.He cooperates regularly as lecturer during the main international stone workshops and fairs. The Expert is trained as a structural geologist. Throughout his career he completed several geological mapping projects in Italy and in oversea countries using classical field work methods as well as geophysical investigations, GPR and aerial survey.

The Expert is a Competent Person and Eurogeologist Member n.1276, a Recognized Professional Organization included in a list available on the JORC and ASX websites.

Besides quarry planning and technical direction of several open and underground marble quarries, clay and limestone open quarries in Italy, professional tasks related to the prospecting and exploitation of dimension stone have been carried out by the Expert in the following foreign countries: Afghanistan (Provinces of Maidan-Wardak, Kabul, Panjshir, Parwan and Samangan); Bolivia (Department of Cochabamba), Brazil(States of Bahia and Rio de Janeiro), Georgia (Districts of Tkibuli, Terjola, Koni, Chiatura - Imereti Region and Lower Swaneti Region), Greece(Cyclades Islands and Eastern Macedonia Province), India (States of Andra Pradesh, Mahrashtra and Orissa), Iraq (Maysan Governatorate), Kenya (Districts of Makindu and Matuu), Korea D.P.R. (Provinces of North Hwanghae, South Hwanghae and North Phyongan); Kyrgyzstan (Osh and Jalalabad Districts), Namibia (Swartbooisdrif District), Pakistan (North-West Frontier Province), Russian Federation (Republic of Karachay-Cherkess and Republic of Daghestan), Rwanda (Northern, Southern, Western and Eastern Provinces), Sultanate of Oman (Provinces of Bahla, Birkat al Mawz and Ibra), South Africa (Provinces of Parys and Namaqualand), Tanzania (Mtwara District), U.A.E.
