He has experience in tool design, establishing forming sequences, cost estimating, manufacturing troubleshooting, and understanding dimensional tolerance capabilities of the cold forming process.

He has engineered parts for a variety of cold heading equipment; single die-two blow headers, two die- two blow headers, two die – three blow headers, and five die parts formers. This includes both finger transfer machines and fingerless transfer machines.
He has established and improved preventative maintenance programs for these type of machine. He has also coordinated the rebuilding and repair of cold heading machines.

Expert has experience in cold heading various metal materials including low carbon steel, medium carbon steel, alloy steels, 302 HQ Stainless, 410 Stainless, and aluminum.
He has written material procurement specifications for various steel wire grades.


Fastener Manufacturing
A total of 20+ years experience in the manufacture of specialty parts, screws, bolts, and solid rivets using the following manufacturing process; cold heading, thread rolling, shaving, trimming, and screw-washer (SEMS) assembly. He has experience in tool design, establishing forming sequences, cost estimating, manufacturing troubleshooting, and understanding dimensional tolerance capabilities of each process.
He has experience in the design and manufacture of machine screws, weld screws, bolts, screw-washer assemblies( SEMS ), clinch studs, MAThread product, shoulder bolts, solid rivets, shouldered rivets, and various specialty metal components.


New Product Development Management
Expert has managed the development of new products in several different industries, Industrial Ink Jet Printers, Cold Headed Metal Components, and Mechanical Rotary Switches. While the products may differ, in general the New Product Development Process remains consistent.
The steps to any product development process are: CONCEPT, FEASIBILITY, DESIGN, PROTOTYPE, TEST, PRODUCTION, and SUPPORT.
His experience is in the engineering development, design, and production startup of new products. A smooth production startup is the result of many factors and the work of many team members. His emphasis is in a review of the design process and a review of several key production readiness factors. It is a review of the mechanical drawings and specifications, manufacturing methods review, new manufacturing equipment readiness, manpower availability, training status, vendor status and component issues, technical and product performance testing and issues, agency approvals and more.
