Implemented engineering processes and worked on global standardization. Led implementation and global integration of Engineering tools, PLM/PDM resulting in reduction of time to market, compliance risks, costs and increase in productivity, revenue, product quality and innovation. Drove innovation culture which resulted in filing more than 300 patents in our portfolio in 10 years. Created new business opportunities by driving open innovation. Co-worked with IIT’s on 10 technology projects which were launched. Conducted more than 1000 consumer insights, market visits, analyzed technology trends to understand consumer needs and created robust idea and technology roadmaps for securing the future and incubating new product ideas.
• Captive Center Setup: At Kohler, spearheaded an investment of $30 Million for new capability creation/up gradation in US, China, India & Thailand R&D Labs which resulted in 20% reduction in development time and enhancement of quality with an ROI of 2 years.
At LG Electronics, spearheaded an investment of $40 Million to create Global R&D Center in India to lead Global research, technology and product developments. Utilized $80 Million on projects, capability, infrastructure, Knowledge management, compliance and gathering of consumer insights for Local Development center.
At Moser Baer India Ltd., established test labs for robust validation of technology & product qualification.
• People Management: At Kohler, Led a team of 100 associates to handle Global Lab Operations & Engineering Validation, Verification Testing and Virtual Product Development to reduce time to market.
At LG Electronics Global R&D center led team of 30 associates in the development and launching of new products globally (25 projects) with differentiating technologies.
At Moser Baer India Ltd., led a team of 30 members for robust validation of technology & product qualification.
• Revenue Generation / P&L: At LG Electronics Global R&D Center, developed and launched a new category of IOT enabled ceiling fans at LG globally, which led to $100 Million revenue within two years. Handled the program from inception till the launch of products. Developed and launched technologically advanced, consumer insight based, Built-In Products which led to $150 Million revenue within a year of launch. Developed and launched Microwave Oven in India, which increased revenue in year 2020 by 25% ($4 Million).
