Expert has a wide variety of coating and corrosion experience due to working for a protective coating company, an oil company and as a consultant for 62 years.

This experience was gained by working in Research and Development for a coating manufacturer. This included formulation of all of the generic types of coatings. He started and ran the testing department. This involved developing testing procedures which would duplicate and accelerate corrosion of coating materials in a variety of environments including weathering, atmospheric exposure and immersion coatings. It was necessary to design and have built special testing equipment. He then transferred back into Research and Development formulating coating materials in all generic types.

He then transferred to theTechnical Sertrvice Department where he became Technical Service Manager in less than 1 year. This involeved working with customers in all types of industry all over the world. Therefore he developed a wide variety of expertise in virtually all industries.

Expert then began work for an oil and energy company in the Corrosion and Metallurgy Division of Maintenance Engineering. This entailed working with all the divisions world wide to insure the proper selection and use of corrosion control procedures. This included coatings, tank linings, roofing, fiber reinforced plastics, fireproofing, roofing, etc. He joined an engineering conslting company in Florida where he became the southeast regional manager. Work consisted of specification writing, supervision of coating inspection projects, coating failure analysis, training, estimating cost of project work, etc. At that time he moved to Michigan and joined an engineering consulting company there.
