Expert has over 39 years of experience in the railroad industry as a manager and as a consultant. Through his company, he has extensive skills and expertise in areas related to railroad operations, railroad safety, accident investigation, accident causation, safety training and locomotive engineer training and certification. Expert's consultants have worked as railroad managers with experience in the locomotive and railcar mechanical departments and maintenance of way department related to track repair and inspection. Expert has managed and trained employees that inspected and maintained equipment, locomotives, railcars and railroad track.

Both as railroad experts and as railroad employees, his consultants have dealt with issues related to the Association of American Railroad Rules as well as with their Standards & Recommended Practices. Expert's railroad experience in dealing with the Field Manual of Interchange Rules as well as with the DP&LS loading standards for railcars including Open Top loading rules has been called upon many times in the defense of railroad claims for damages resultant from freight car maintenance issues as well as railcar loading or unloading practices. Throughout his 39 years of experience, he has had the opportunity to offer his expertise on railroad safety, railcar shipping issues as well as general railroad transportation practices to clients dealing with these and many other railroad issues.

Expert has developed railroad rules program and rail yard safety training program for a companies working in chemical plants and industrial locations served by railroads, conducted classroom training for employees and provided hands-on field training in railroad rules and operating practices, and developed a General Code of Operating Rules (GCOR) training and cut over program for a several regional railroads and provided classroom training for their employees. He has also provided testimony supporting a shipper’s claim to recover losses resulting from a rail carriers failure to provide consistent service levels, related to reasonable dispatch and common carrier obligations, provided litigation support involving railroad losses and damage claims due to derailments, evaluated railroad claims and charges for repairs of railcars, track and locomotives, assisted in litigation related to FRA Regulations, and AAR Recommended Practices and Hazardous Materials Regulations and tank car inspection and shipping practices.
