One product developed under contract was an IC for the emerging satellite radio market. His team developed an FPGA based hardware prototype of the baseband digital demodulator for the Sirius Radio satellite receiver. Several
product demonstrations for key investors were made using the XIT Tech developed baseband prototype. The prototype was fine tuned, and a chip was produced for a high volume vehicle based satellite receiver.
This product is the key part of a chip set that generated approximately $60M in annual chip revenues for LSI/Agere Systems Inc. in 2004 (more in 2005!) and has helped launch a revolution in the radio broadcast industry through Sirius' product and service offerings.
