Thin Film Science, Magnetron Sputtering

ID: 735881 California, USA

Request Expert

Academic, R&D and industrial production experience of 20+ years in thin films: deposition (mostly magnetron sputtering, roll-to-roll R2R), in-situ/ex-situ characterization, mechanics (stress, delamination, cracking), optical properties, post-treatment.

Senior engineer in the field of thin films and nanostructures I have accumulated a vast
experience in all aspects of film’s production (by PVD), characterization and
application. Being an experimentalist, I used to maintain and manage a multi-user setup for sputter-deposition, in-situ and ex-situ characterization of thin films. The studies, which I have led and participated in, were focused on film formation and growth, diffusion, microstructure, electronic structure, optical and mechanical properties of film substrate systems. During more than 20 years, my projects were realized in collaboration with scientists, industrial partners and R&D engineers. Lately, I am acting as a project manager and leading development of new products.
